Would you say the popularity of water birth is an important gauge of women's opinion about natural birth?

There is nothing natural about labour or delivery in water - at least, not for human beings! Anybody promoting water birth on this theme is promoting falsehood. However, there is no denying that the availability of this service is an important development which has enriched the experience of labour and offered choice to thousands of women. It is an important alternative.
